Something I Admire about the Western Culture

Despite the cultural conflicts between the Orient and the Occident,there do exist some admirable ingredients in the Western culture.

First and foremost,the equality between parents and children.The parents are not always superior to their children,and the children do not always need to obey their parents order,that is,they are more like close friends.

Second,the independent personality.Western people have a strong sense of supporting themselves and being independent.They begin earning their pocket money early in their life,even as kids.

Last,Western people do not always assess a person according to his background.If only he can achieve success through personal struggle,he can win status.It's a talent-oriented society,not background-oriented.

All the above mentioned are what I admire in the western culture and what I think we Chinese should learn.

二、外国酒文化？

酒文化源远流长，酒在人们日常的交际生活中起着重要作用。由于生活环境、历史背景、传统习俗、价值观念、思维模式和社会规范等的不同，东西方（甚至国与国之间）的酒文化呈现出风格迥异、丰富多彩的民族特性。

中国酒文化（以汉民族为主）和西方酒文化（以英语民族为主）的传统思想、表现形态及价值含义均有不同。

With the boom of Chinese market, more and more foreigners come to visit China and they are attracted by not only its delicious food, but also the long history. As there are more Chinese elements in the Hollywood movies, the world want to search more about this big old country. The new technologies such as Alipay, and high speed train surprise them. The output of Chinese culture makes this country stronger

西方文化主张天人相分,二者是对立的关系。人要生存就必须从自然界中获取物质生活资料。为了征服自然,首先得认识它。研究自然界中的各种问题和现象,导致了其哲学和科学的长足发展。

近代西方人在征服自然方面远远超过中国人,大大提高了人们的物质生活水平和文化水平,使人对宇宙的认识更加深刻。

八、外国文化是什么？

外国是一个泛指，指除了中国之外其他的所有国家，每一个国家都有自己的历史，文化，信仰，法律等，外国的文化底蕴受历史渊源的影响较大，和中国文化既有相同之处又有不同之处。

比如美国文化，美国是一个崇尚自由民主法治的国家，所以美国的文化私人利益受到最大化的保护，个人自由与法治水平得到很好的保护，因为美国也是一个移民国家，所以也吸收借鉴其他国家的文化，也相对宽容自由，之前美国比较歧视黑人，黄种人，但自从亚洲崛起后，美国人也相对友好很多。

比如日本文化，日本是一个崇尚强者的国家，谁强大就做谁的小弟，中国唐朝强大的时候日本的法律，文化都很多方面模仿唐朝，连日本的汉字都大部分搬运中国的，后期美国强大了，日本又成美国的小弟，日本的很多文化也受到一些美国的影响，但大部分还是保留自己的文化色彩，比如天皇制度，男人为主的文化，日本和服文化等，日本曾经是军国主义，武士道精神十分泛滥，这也是日本文化的一部分，现在的日本，文化，动漫，工业都较为发达，日本樱花节也很出名，日本小酒馆文化也很出名。

其他比如俄罗斯文化，就是酒文化盛行，战斗民族也崇尚武力，俄罗斯曾经辉煌过，现在也是军事实力十分强大，但经济发展却十分差强人意，俄罗斯曾经出现很多有名的作家，普希金，高尔基，莫泊桑等。

他外国国家英国，德国，意大利各有特色，文化水平，历史渊源都不尽相同。

九、如何对待外国文化？

对待外国文化要使用拿来主义，符合我们的有用的就用，没用的要坚决摒弃。
